On Monday, James Piereson, the President of the William E. Simon Foundation and a member of the Manhattan Institute, gave a Bradley Lecture at the American Enterprise Institute. The talk, entitled “The fourth great political revolution: 1789, 1858, 1928, and today, ” explored the previous revolutionary periods—the time surrounding the election of Thomas Jefferson, the Civil War, and World War II—and analyzed the current crossroads facing America. The talk was inspired by Mr. Piereson’s essay from The New Criterion’s June issue on the same subject. You can watch the full lecture above, or on AEI’s site.
