Jane Coombs is the current Hilton Kramer Fellow at The New Criterion. She studied medieval history and literature at the University of Cambridge and earned an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, focusing on nineteenth-century British art. After returning home to Canada, she participated in the Emerging Arts Critics program in Toronto and contributed to a number of arts magazines.
